I've got a good one for you. I'll even brag a little bit, because this is my favorite thing to brag about. Even though I make less than those drivers who gross over 2 grand per week, I make about 10 grand per year more than my wife.

The reason this is significant is that she has a PhD and a very good job. Her clients and colleagues call her "Doctor _____" at work. It took her a decade of post-secondary education to get what she calls her "big girl job." She makes more money per hour than I do if you break it down like that, but I work more hours. Still, it feels good making more than a professional with her credentials on my easy 494-mile run. My wife even likes to brag about it if someone acts weird about her husband being a truck driver.

Doctor _____ has made about $63k so far this year and I have made over $69k as of today. Am I lying? I'm not interested in posting 2 checks to prove it. You'll just have to trust me.

They call me Doctor Dobalina out there on the big road. (Ok, that part was a lie)

Like Dr. Dobalina over there, I too have made more money than my professional wife. She's a registered nurse.

The only cool thing about having a degree like that is how some of the jobs work. My wife runs a company based out of Wisconsin. She has never been to Wisconsin lol

And that's how you become "just a number" at certain companies. Lol

my best friend from high school married a pediatrician. he is a surgeon. together they gross over 450k/yr and she only works 3 days a week. your old lady needs to step it up. (crack that whip)

point being, no idea what kinda dr she is, but the ones i know are easily entry level 200k+. while your story sounds good, 100k/yr isn’t much anymore. i know several ppl who make more than i do, non of them drive or work at night.

my exwife is a lawyer, but she works for the county. i make more than she does now, but i know that will change once she goes private.

My wife isn't a physician. That's a whole other level. A psychologist makes way less than a psychiatrist, who is an MD. My wife can't prescribe medications and didn't do a medical residency like they have to do.

That said, I do like to make jokes about her not pulling her weight around the house financially!
