    You know nothing about my situation , I am having problems with my knee and could drive an automatic just fine and be a great driver.
    But thanks for your great advice , and telling a 65 year old man what is best for him haha Chump

    Absolutely...well I probably had to be told many many times. It’s been so long ago (About 50 years or so) I don’t remember. :)

    I wouldn't be surprised to find that more than one craggy old-timer has had their career extended a few years by an automatic transmission truck. Like people have said, test out in a manual if you can just so you don't have the restriction and then move on to whatever makes the actual job more efficient and easier for you. That's just being smart!

    After your license just learn to float the gears. It's ALMOST as good as driving an automatic, except in traffic jams.
