got hit by a drunk driver no one is injured but have been down for 6 weeks I avg 654 a day net insurance company said they would pay by avg daily net pay but it’s been 3 weeks and they won’t reply back or tell me what’s going on. Was wondering should I get an attorney or wait for the insurance company to submit what they will pay but they keep brushing me off so. Kinda lost not for sure what to do

These things can take a while too. More than 3 weeks. Imo too early to spend money on lawyers.
I'd give it at least a few more weeks. It is a shame they don't communicate with you thoughLast edited: Sep 23, 2019

It has been years, but I was involved in a similar deal, and was an OO at the time, I did not hire an lawyer(hate them) and the insurance did try to just pay me drivers wages, but in the end they paid out my average rates for a month.
86scotty, Hillbilly hauler and Dh46 Thank this. -
What insurance is this that you have that covers to pay you in that type of situation?

Always get a lawyer.... like yesterday as bigdad7 says....
Dh46 Thanks this. -
Lawyers cost big money. I have in the past, threatened to use my 60 hrs of free legal credits, from when I was a Teamster. With success, thankfully, as no such credit exists. Lol
Opendeckin and nikmirbre Thank this. -
stuckinthemud Thanks this.
