So, you have a truck that is not registered in CA., but meets the EPA emissions standards for the state it is registered in. You travel to the state of CA. to pickup/deliver a load and are given a citation in CA. for excess emissions. Could you then sue the maker of the truck for failing to ensure the truck met all of the emission standards in the US, it might be expected that the truck would be called on to deliver/pickup in any state in the contiguous US.?
