    So, you have a truck that is not registered in CA., but meets the EPA emissions standards for the state it is registered in. You travel to the state of CA. to pickup/deliver a load and are given a citation in CA. for excess emissions. Could you then sue the maker of the truck for failing to ensure the truck met all of the emission standards in the US, it might be expected that the truck would be called on to deliver/pickup in any state in the contiguous US.?

    I would be more than a little surprised if the dealership didn't have a clause in the purchase agreement stating that it is the owner's responsibility to verify that it is legal, wherever it is operated. I would.

    Weren’t all of these trucks legal on the date they were manufactured?

    Gliders aside I don’t know of or have ever heard of a truck being built in KY that came with a clause that said legal until not legal

    In the event you would like to know the history of why California is so hyper about air pollution, this 1957 documentary, produced by International Harvester, explains what conditions were like around Los Angeles and what was being done about it.

    Honestly, I respect emissions controls in order to prevent pollution. What I do not respect is enacting laws that either cannot work, or will not be enforced fairly.

    I’ll respond to your post where you quoted me;
    The year without a summer was due to a volcano that blew tons of ash into the air worldwide; no human activity involved on that one.
    No guys, climate change is very real and now and for the first time in human history, it’s caused by...human history.
    In less than just 15 years (if not much sooner), all you doubters will become reluctant believers.
    By then, it will be too late but it’s already too late.
