It doesn't ride as nice as my 2013 670 right now. Would replacing the shocks help that?

You put a new steering wheel and a new seat in that truck, and it’ll feel like brand new.

I would go ahead and put new shocks on the front end, you don’t know when the last ones were replaced. The LA roads wreak havoc on mine and I replace them every 12 months.

Now you need to replace your avatar with your new truck.

Check and replace if needed, the front cab mount bushings and rear cab shocks, they are an often overlooked solution to smoothing out a rough ride.

Was your 670 equipped with an air bag front axle?

    No. Just shock and spring.

Will the mirrors off a 2nd vnl fit on a 1st Gen?

Watching this with interest. Nice find. I kind of like the 1st gen VNL's too. As stated above I would treat myself to a new steering wheel (will a 2nd gen fit and just leave the airbag out?) and definitely new seats. Interior looks great otherwise.

I'm betting you can clean up the ride but 13 years of technology might not be easy to overcome.

Where are you? I'm looking for a deer basher for my 15 if yours won't fit anymore.

I can't tell you about the older 780's but my 15 has a shorter tank on the right side. 150 on the driver side and only 100 on the passenger to make room for the Tripac. Good enough trade off for me, I can run 1250 miles on a fill up easily, probably more if I tried.

I am curious about the 2nd gen wheel myself. As for treating myself..I did just that today. Got me a new seat. Both my tanks are 125 gallon units. This rig gets 7mpg average which isn't bad for an old beast. My deer basher is in KY.

Seat looks great! Interior looks nice and clean too.

Let us know if the steering wheel works out.

This website shows that some of the custom steering wheels will fit Volvo Gen. 1

Finally got the APU transfered over today. Was a complete pain in the butt. Tommorow I hook everything up and then hit the road. 20191008_181604.jpg 20191008_151313.jpg
