I've only ever really driven solo, and I don't see too many teams on the roads these days. Just curious, from those of you who have driven or are currently driving team, what's it like? What are the ups and downs of it?

If you like getting 5 or fewer hours of sleep a night on a bed that is constantly jumping around then you will love it.

You will first commend your soul and all that you are on sunset to the unknown person on the wheel for 11 hours towards morning.

2 minutes after that you will lie awake in a rocking and rolling box cursing your existence that has reduced you to this low in life.

    HE HE HE....

Been there regretted that. I started off as a company driver way back and I tried my hand at co-driving and I was paired with a horrible driver...let's just say I got out of there as fast as I could.

Who you co-driving with? That can make a difference.

I'm not co-driving brother!! Hence the "just curious" part of my post. I like hearing people's stories

Had a wife with me, were full team in FFE with a hooked Avenel NJ trailer going to LA CA as we pulled out onto US1 southbound the satelittle beeped. Two nervous nellies in dispatch said we are 10 minutes late already for LA can we make it?

I tromped the hammer and blew the lights like i have been doing for decades straight to I-287 and told them that we should be about 7 minutes early to FFE LA yard if we give up a fuel stop. And quit governing our casterated truck at 63, let us open her up on these #### loads you worry about too. *So there...

    They didnt like that.

We were there 4 minutes early. I will tell you that a few shots at Holbrook in thanks that #### 335 gallons got us there... whew. worth a drink. I think we had about 6 gallons to spare.

The only way id ever do team is if my woman was my codriver. Anybody else id probably be the driver on the news that stabbed his co driver with a plastic knife that i had been sharpening for the last 17 days

unless it is spouses, or close blood relative, do not do it. i'd venture to not even trust a "best friend" either.

I'd need to make like $250K year to team with anyone other than a sexy kitty mommy.
