This was my dish at that restaurant yesterday... actually.. I had 2 dishes... one just for the salad... :p:D
Yeah.. I like to eat... :)

Brown rice, pastel with a filling of cheese, fried yucca, fried eggplant, cooked and seasoned veggies, brown beans, and salad...
    And for that I paid... R$ 39,40 or U$ 9.48.. :D

LOL... :biggrin_2559: Yeah.. that house was my mom and dad's dream house.. Dad designed it to be like the house where he was born...
And that house DEFINITELY caught attention... and it still does.... :yes2557:
In the past some folks used to call it "The Castle of the Vampire".... :biggrin_25523:
But I swear.. there is no vampire or ghosts in there... at least, I have never seen one... :biggrin_25512: :biggrin_2559:

It has gotten substantially more dilapidated than the last time you posted pics. Maybe 1-2 yrs ago? It wasn't that long. Problem is, that sort of deterioration tends to accelerate the worse it is (versus when someone is in there patching small problems as they emerge).

Have you considered getting quotes to clear the lot? Might speed up a sale and would certainly put an end to the deterioration of the house. Just from the pictures it appears to beyond a sensible amount of repair. Also the possibility of a tax discount on empty land versus any kind of improvements. I can only guess they aren't cutting you any discount for the condition of the building.

    Hey @Rocks .

Ever thought about advertising it in the U.S.?

Lots of people looking for vacation or retirement homes in South America, even fixer uppers, especially if they can get a bargain, just a thought.

You are correct Mr. @RedForeman about the condition being so bad that it becomes hard for anyone to make it habitable.... not impossible but.... :biggrin_2552:
Yes... I have thought about having it demolished... have in mind that is not wood like in America.. that is concrete and bricks... now that I am in Brasil and have time to check all that.. I will...
But so far, I am planning to sell for the price of the land... and leaving the house there...
Haven't had time to go there and talk to real state agents... So far, I have been in Cabo Frio, going to dentist, doctors, doing exams.. and most recently, looking for other places to stay... Because my hotel will need me OUT OF HERE, next week... Oct/10.... :angry1:

Yeah.. this is what happens in this touristy city... folks make reservations at hotels many many months in advance... and too bad if I am in a hotel that has reserved all its rooms for the weeks ahead till end of the year... :angry7:
Prices go up too.... WAY UP... this hotel charges R$130,00 per day till Oct/07.... then, it becomes R$150,00 till Dec/20 and then it goes to R$200,00 per day till January something...
But all their rooms are already reserved starting on Oct/10.. and I will have to find another place...:angry1:

I was not counting on that... :biggrin_25513: with SOOO MUCH to do right now.. and now dealing with this... :angry2:
I have been walking a lot every day.. going from one real state to another, from one inn to another, saw an apt today... in case I can rent something for 3 months.... Don't know what I am going to do yet... I am tired.. All hotels and inns raise their prices as the end of the year approaches and their prices are sky high.... Lots and lots of tourists come to this city for the holiday season.... Real state owners, hotels, etc, etc don't want to lose that opportunity...

Anyway... I will have to go somewhere else next week... Going to the city of Rio tomorrow to deal with my apartment documentation and this and that... Have been super SUPER busy...
