You could probably call any large real estate company and get some advice/help. Just tell them your situation and what you are wanting to do.

Remaxx, Century 21, Berkshire&Hathaway, Keller Williams, Prudential, people like that.

Not saying you need to use this particular one, just an Idea of where and how to start.

I just got in from a nother Prudhoie run, except this time I hitched a ride back for the first time ever, left my truck buried in the tundra, fairly certain it is totaled.

The old saying on this road is, it is not a matter of if, but a matter of when, it seems like my when got here. lol

Developers in the US do it all the time. If the improvements are worthless, then any bid on the property will be land value minus the cost of clearing it. So you end up paying whether you do the job or the prospective buyer does. It looked like most of the construction in your pictures was cinder block. Really not much worse than tearing down a wooden structure usually. The larger expense comes with hauling away the rubbish once it's down. And there, I'll bet it ends up recycled into another building and not in a land fill. Good luck with whatever you decide to so.

LOL. I'm thinking $50US is an awesome price for that place. Here's a funny story..

I think my record for a hotel stay (and air travel) was when I was on the HP expense account. One day I was working in my home office, minding my own business, and got summoned to attend a big meeting in Stamford CT. Earliest flight out the next morning ATL to JFK was $900. There was a UN thing going on in NYC and all the hotels in 50 miles were booked. I had platinum status with Marriott, and one perk was they held two rooms in every property for platinum guests, in case they booked full. They had a room at the Westin for $600 LOL. What was funny about that was the customer we were visiting was Starwood. They've merged since then, but were fierce competitors then. I mentioned my dilemma to an account manager and they got me into a Sheraton for $300. If I had to guess, they probably kicked out a no-status guest to make it available LOL.

Yeah... already checked that and decided that is not a good idea... :biggrin_25512: because of all the paperwork and authorizations I will need from the government, and the money for fees and taxes, etc, etc... and the time and headache it will take just for that... it might take months... yeah.. the freakin Brazilian bureaucracy... :angry5: not to mention the hassle and time dealing with workers to clean the land and getting rid of the debris.... it might take half a year... here in Brasil....? Oh yeah.... :biggrin_25523:

Yeah.. but considering ALL the money that I have already spent in this trip so far and what I will still have to spend to do all that I need to do... :biggrin_2552: and I am not making any money now... I am only spending... I must save whatever I can....

The hotels here sell "packages" to corporate customers and offer them a much "better" price... during Holiday Season, non-corporate customers have to pay sky high prices...

But HEY! I ended up renting a furnished one bedroom apartment, in good location for R$2.000,00 or U$500.00 a month... and they will hold this price till Dec/20... And I can leave whenever I want... :biggrin_25519: Only thing is that they don't provide bed linens, and blankets but I can get that with a friend here.. and the hotel doesn't provide room service... but I can take care of that... or pay them R$120,00 for a cleaning.... And they don't provide breakfast... but that's no problem for me either.... I can buy some fruits and milk... I can even cook on their stove if I so desire...
