Yes, I haven't had this in CDL field but as a welder, they rather get someone who gonna do the job then have you around sometimes trucking I could imagine it even more so imagine these truck drivers some haven't taken a shower everyday some haven't taken one since they got in it.

The driver varies some are flat out disgusting walks of life who will crap and pee in there own spot and sleep in it pretty much. Knew one person knew he was horrible he decided to make a makeshift toilet took out some the flooring small pan underneath under his bed. Normally even animals take a crap in the corners, not in their sleeping arrangements on top that even if it's not this extreme they still may need be cleaned out trash everywhere and a smell needing fumigated.

what I find it really hard buy this really a rare occurrence in the OTR world, to be honest, I never have given a 2-week notice myself but honestly, if I am that unhappy I can always find another job somewhere I may dislike more like welding, driving few others but still there if all else fails. I guess in more used to work a while and leave did that a lot with my buddies in construction projects we finish a project and we go on vacation when we need more money we just took another gig.

I quitting Schneider like Sunday or Monday. I waited to get my signing bonus first and now using my vacation from Tues thru Saturday. And I'm thinking come back Sunday and quit quietly when 1 lower ranking person is working the office. But would that not qualify as returning to work following PTO? Schneider has a policy you must be at work actively your last day to get paid vacation. Or should I just go on duty but change my Nat to Tues and turn in my truck to the maintenance shop for check engine light on. That should qualify me as returned from vacation but waiting at the OC for repairs.... Hmmm any suggestions on how to do this? I just don't want them scamming me out of my vacation pay I will be taking.

You don't think they will screw me and say you weren't actively at work your final day? Even though I'd be dressed for work ready but they'd make it my final day...?

If you put your two weeks in via Qualcomm or what ever messaging system you guys use it shows you were at work ready to go.

OK I'll send a message. Go on duty but have my nat the next day due to equipment problems and send message and take pictures of it and email my logs to me. I just know this company is shaddy when people quit. They try to figure ways to get you back.

Like quickly assign you a load at the OC and then put on your DAC report as load abandonment....

Then take the load and actually do your two weeks that you put in, don't worry about dac because it's a tool for bottom feeder megas, or just bounce and hope they pay the vacation. You have options. I do have to say tho with everyone just like "#### it leave" don't give notice and all that.... acting like this is why y'all make no money, with #### benefits, no retirement, and piss poor working conditions. Act like children, get treated like children. Now I know everyone is gonna chime in and say how it's the companies fault and they started it.... listen to that statement and re visit the child statement lol.

Why not tender a resignation, in which, you offer to work out a full two weeks notice. Something professional and positive. In which, you thank them for the opportunity to have worked there and will always consider them at a future date, if circumstances change in your life. Leave upbeat. If they decide not to have you work out the notice, so be it. You are ready.
