It’s really all about habits, when a surprise situation comes up, reflexes kick in, and habits take over. Bad habits picked up in summertime, can cause problems in winter driving. One example is changing lanes on a bridge. I try not to do that, even in summertime, don’t need that habit in winter. Good habits, lead to good sub conscious reflex maneuvers when needed.

I want to know the what, how and where of the ticket because I want to know what’s going on around the country as far as enforcement goes. It’s both a learning and a curiosity thing. That’s all.

I think we should get a mod in here to tell us what’s the % rate of people sticking around after 1 post.

I'm not a mod, but been around for a spell. Wish I was a statistician atm, tbh~!
@88 Alpha .. you've been awful quiet lately. INPUT, sir?
ps: I fought an $80.00 seatbelt ticket in my CMV a few years back, and won. Black Carharrtts jacket obstructed my seatbelt AS i pulled into the pumps. It sure WAS on...until i pulled my knobs. Rookie cop apologized after we met at the magistrate's office.Adirondack Bob, Rideandrepair, FlaSwampRat and 1 other person Thank this. -

@G13Tomcat ..... I apologize for not being on the boards very much lately. I changed jobs... I went from being a regional-ish driver (Houston to Scranton, Pa to Miami) to a local driver. I'm working more hours now than I did as OTR but the checks are good, the wife is happy, I'm enjoying it (except for my self-inflicted amputation today). In general, life is good.
Regarding @LondRanger 's question, I think 33.3% is accurate. However, I also believe other one-post-wonders stick around just to view the answers and read other areas of the forum. There is a metric-ton of information on this forum and an incredible amount of highly seasoned drivers who are willing to help out, if a person is willing to hear the answers. As a result, I think a lot of new folks read but don't want to post for fear of being criticized.Adirondack Bob, Rideandrepair, FlaSwampRat and 3 others Thank this. -
There IS no other forum that comes close.. I love it here. I WISH I COULD FIND that one I was reading in the docks this am... in 'bad company' regarding Swift.... guy just got a short end of a training stick, and was gonna go to PHX and dip.
It literally teared me up, because NOBODY i mean NOBODY (at least at 0500 ish) was bashing. There was NOTHING but encouragement... from anybody and everybody that replied.
I've had my moments here with 'idjits' I've tried to help; tbh!
Congrats on your new gig....keep the wife and kids happy; I try as well.
I fight every and any ticket, as well. Be safe, man.. Cool thread, that is.

ps: word up on the amp?!?!?Rideandrepair and FlaSwampRat Thank this.
