Why do PAM drivers always look so sad? Every time I see them they looked depressed and dull.

You'd be sad too if you only got 1200 mi/week. The depression part comes from having to lump 100lb sacks of potatoes every other load. And dull ? Everyone from around Tontitown, Ar. is dull. That's a no brainer !

They look sad and depressed because they have come to the realization that they went to work for the wrong company.

They have not been provided the adequate amount of quality company interaction and are looking for a way out. It takes them a while to figure that out, the more dull ones that is.

The depressed are those that ripped off front ends like mine back in the 90's or squashed the entire front yard with landscaping of our gas station pulling in with a pam truck. He was 64, two weeks out of school with a issued truck and here he is... a cool thousand or more in property damage.

The other corner of the station is wide open for benefit of big trucks to swing into it. All they needed to do is make a right at that light then come out making a left. But no, he sails the light and takes the car ramp around. Trailer immediateely sinks two feet and squashes everything.

    PAM? HA. *Raspberry.*

my 'somewhat' PAM story. 8 years ago, after multiple layoffs, I decided to take unemployment and go to CDL school. The school I went to, which was 30 minutes from my house in NC, offered 2 places to 'pay' for your schooling, provided you worked for them for 1 year. We ALL know those deals. The 2 were USA and PAM. I chose USA(look I was new, we all learn...I quit after 2 months and got lucky and found a way better company). While working on backing, one day, a PAM truck pulled in. Most former students always came in to say 'Hi' when going through there....most of the instructors were really fun/nice people. Well, this dangly white kid jumps out of the driver seat, and this heavy set black guy gets out of the bunk and start talking with the instructor. So, a few classmates start asking about PAM, since they were going there, and the white guy tells them you need to 'team' for so long before you go solo and the heavyset dude was his co-driver. Well, after they get done talking, they get back into the truck and the guy jackknifes the truck in a WIDE OPEN FIELD to turn around and literally smashes in the sleeper with the trailer. Then, they left. It WAS a new truck until that minute. Some of those that signed on with PAM all had the look of 'OH SHEET! What did I get myself into?'

Because the company name is Pam. You can't say with pride, "I drive for Pam!"
