Looks like I’m catching the bad end of the stick on my current assignment. Had a delivery to finish my last trailer then picked up another and it was real tight on time it was two stops and I thought I could make both. With a trip plan I figured I would make it there with about 30 mins and would go a little over my 14. But the place had overnight parking. Finished my first delivery and soon as I got done while I was cleaning up it started pouring down.. now I’m on the back roads of Iowa with my high beams on doing 35 cause I can’t see more than maybe 150 feet in front of me. So I knew got to the highway and it’s starts pouring harder.. so I pulled over at the pilot across from the Iowa Ta and just my luck they don’t have showers... Now I make it to the customer today and it’s looking like the unloader won’t be in until 1900 so pretty much a whole day gone

I use to work otr tanker for them and left cause there was no work. 12 of us were sitting at one terminal for 4 days then I got 2 small loads and sat for 3 days the next week at another terminal with some of the same drivers xD. Get the occasional recruiter email about coming back from time to time

oh yea trust me before I put in for home time I was sitting at terminals from early Friday- Monday’s so I put in for hometime the rest of the year. I could’ve left but I would’ve had to pay them out the contract and still had no exp, chose to stick out the year and I have exactly 1 month until the year. So i thinking I’m going to finish out the calendar year then figure my next steps. Got all my bills paid off so just saving up some before I make my move

To continue with the bad load the guy came out at about 10 and asked what I had and said he’d check the levels but in the meantime there was a truck that had an appointment so I needed to move and he’d get me after him. Soon as I move another truck shows up too so now I’m 2 down. Took a lil nap woke up and both trucks were gone (was out for about 2 hours) and the unloaders were gone.(funny how quick they came for the other trucks) No knock or nothing. So I pulled back in and the only way to reach them is to buzz the door which sounds off in the factory but nobody pays attention to. Everybody has on ear plug. So I’m holding the buzzer in 2min spans .. about 30 mins later another guy comes out asks what I had again then says he’s going to check the levels.. another 20 mins goes and he comes back like how much you got(red flag) cause I just told him... they had a 2500 gallon tank with 1100 already in it and I was bringing 1500 ..... yea
So I was a day late and you still don’t have room. So I said well do the big compartment then go from there.. ( only had compartments 1 and 4 left 4 being the big one) so I called dispatch and they said don’t even open compartment 1 just bring it back. So I hook up and they have this weird setup where you hook up to the wall then go inside and hookup another hose to the wall and then the fill line. So I ask how far is the tank? “ about 3 stories up in the front of the building pretty sizable distance and ecolab deliveries are not supposed to ever go over 15 psi... So I open it check for leaks and I notice I’m not getting any flow, I mean my hoses are heavy but on their side of the wall nothing so I raise it to above and beyond psi.... nothing so I tell the guy what I’m at and he’s like “double it” smh we start using their air and get it to flow. You wouldn’t believe the psi it was set to and the guy was like itll be slow but it’s moving...so I go empty clean up get all set to go and notice he hadn’t signed the bill just the report form after I shut the door locking myself out....another 30 mins just to get a John Hancock. So my plan was to drop the trailer at ecolab, head to quala to take the greatest shower of my life the. It dawned on me compartment 1 is still loaded so I’m still holding this trailer at the quala and some jackoff bobtail parked sideways is sitting in 3 spots so I had to use a makeshift spot.

I know you’re not supposed to but I was instructed by 3 different people after telling them it was loaded to drop it in the yard

    Did you safely drop it?
    I've seen a 4 compartment tank with
Comp 2, 3,4 empty and comp 1 loaded
Dropped and it nosed dived into the pavement

Thing with Sni, a lot of the extra money bits you have to ask for it. From my experience and other drivers, if you dont ask you wont get. Like how we had drivers who been with them for years but never got there .1 increase each year till they asked about it when drivers with less exp were getting more pay.
