    Gather around folks, storytime.
So couple months back in March I applied online for C.R. England, before doing any research on trucking. I just applied because that was the first company that popped up on local job sites and I figured that's how it works, you apply to the what's local to your area lol.

It was surprisingly easy, just goto their site, put in your DL number, yada yada. To my surprise, a recruiter called me SAME day, later in the evening. Now here's what I didn't mention, I actually went on a trip to Amsterdam a month prior and got lit up like mad!

Dude asks me about my criminal background, driving record, and then he asks if I can pass a drug test. I'm thinking to myself "Well, it's been a month since the trip, of course.", I say yes and the dude gets excited telling me he can have me on a plane this week to wherever there training facility is. And then all of a sudden he rephrases the question and asks if I can pass a 90 day hair follicle test.... I said no and explained the situation and the dude got so heated, he said you should've told me before I bought this plane ticket and hung up! Lmaooooo looking back, after researching the company, I really dodged a bullet.I I felt bad at the time but looking back I have no regrets. Hope y'all got a kick outta that. :biggrin_2559:

Should have told him you are bald and incapable of growing any bodily hair...

Honestly, even if you're clean, you should still probably tell them you're a coke head. Worst company in the industry, hands down. I've heard nothing but awful stuff.

Thats where it all started for me in SLC 13 years ago. I did two years there, which was enough time to pay off my schooling at $50 per week, and then I was gone!

Bruh.... C.R. England recruiters ask all new applicants that. That’s them baiting you. You won’t take the hair follicle test unless the urine sample you give is so clear that it looks diluted. It may be different now but that’s how I saw them do a few drivers back in 2007 when I was there at their orientation. Guys were being escorted off the property left and right. Those of us who had yellow urine didn’t have to give hair. Oh and by the way. Hair follicle isn’t even sanctioned by the FMCSR or the DOT as a viable method of testing yet. Look it up it’s a fact.

Yeah I just learned that today looking through the forums. I didn't know that at the time, but glad I didn't.

I actually went to a orientation were a guy showed up shaved head to toe. They let him sit in orientation for 3 days knowing he was gonna be sent home. The guy actually thought he was gonna not have to give a sample when the rest of us did on day 1. They even made him sit in the corner of the office & not the lounge waiting for his ride home all day. They can also report it to Hire right as a refusal to drug test as reason for denied employment
