Delivering to the Haunted Hamburger tomorrow. If I remember to take pics, I'll throw them up here.

Hoover Dam was run in my time long before 9-11 redline the Jacobs dropping down and there is a particular shelf of rock that stuck out so you had to make a special swing left then wide right to get around it. Ran across there several times with spouse. 9-11 happened a few months later. I knew that was the last time we hit that Dam. I was part of a forum where we got to talking about that Dam and how it supported essentially 80% of all aluminum works to support aircraft bomber building in the war effort. I said to someone that maybe you should have a bridge built twice as high say 1500 feet above and downstream from the dam so that if someone should be stupid enough to actually blow the place you will have traffic back and forth. Otherwise it will be a real problem.

A side note, Uranium is in the area. That makes it worth doing. I understand 4 people died to get that bridge built. Maybe someday we will cross it and spend a day in the Dam. It sure aint Conowingo back home that's for sure.

There was one dam I wanted to capture for myself with a camera called the Grand Coluee or something or other. It's supposed to be a gigantic mutha until the Chinese built the Three Gorges which is truly a 9th wonder of the world that will out last generations of our childrens children. (Unless we detonate the place in war... and I think I would cry because so many gave up their homes in support of their Nation with that place... believe it or not, I don't love our opponets too much never that, but you have to respect what was done with that monster.)

Well... just got my chance so see what that road is like for myself.... to those who keep insisting that it’s all 4 lane the whole way... you need to get a new prescription. The two lane sections aren’t two bad but the tourists that run along there are complete idiots. As soon as the passing lanes end they try their idiotic best to still fly around you. Use caution! And there’s a couple really big hills. Between loops 101 and 303 it’s a lot of red lights. As for the low bridge that’s only if you are running east into Wickenburg.

I don’t know anyone that goes that way, we all go out to Vicksburg take the 72 to Parker cross the river to Vidal Junction and take the 95 on the California side up to Needles and then to I 40 and then back to the 95 up to through Nevada

I run under the "low" rail bridge on 60 in Wickenburg weekly. Truly despise the I-10 rat race of mega company ### hats acting like the inconsiderate ####s they are holding hands all the way across the desert doing their 20 mile slow passes. Desolate 2 lane is much more enjoyable. I run the 101, to the 17, to the 74. There's a couple good hills out by Lake Pleasant. No fun for those without horsepower.

Running all the 2 lane adds 25 miles one way to my trip, at a lower speed limit, with stop lights, small towns, etc ... literally takes me the same time as traveling the interstate because you all suck.

That petro in Kingman isn’t much better... lots of California “one truck with Home Depot letters” outfits flying through that lot like it’s a racetrack, parking like idiots, etc.
