And here I sit happy with 500 a week if not a little more. And these 1500 dollar a week jobs are just too tempting.

Here in the south you don't need much and resources are availible. Back home in Maryland in the county I stayed in did not have a #### thing. (Make that two counties...) you had to be like 300,000 annual income to even thrive there.

Different strokes for different folks, but yeah DMV is notoriously expensive.

It’s not cheap where I live but also no where near the most expensive.

Minneapolis/st Paul Isn’t for me though. Once my daughter is older I’m selling my house and dipping out to Vegas. I’m over winters but gotta stick it out for another couple years. Wages are good but I could make the same money out there with a lower cost of living and better weather.

Ive got a small group of towns that I passed through NW of Vegas maybe two hours or so. QUIET places too. Still has a mcdees or some generic casino and some services. But the more Arkansas develops around me in these hills the easier it is to remember those small places no one knows about except the thousand or so that live there.

Nevada was good to me and it's worth thinking on. However for life reasons Im staying right here for the time being. As they say thats where my Sunshine is.

Yeah, you can find quiet places even a half hour out of the city.

Blue diamond is a tiny little town right by red rocks, like 200 people. Good luck finding anything for sale though.

Im not particularly materialistic at this point in life. If it is he medical billing or nothing. I eyeball my place and know already if I had to go tonight half would be in dumpster and the rest in the truck.

Yeah, I really like asphalt and it would be better out there because you can work year round and keep contributing to your pension.

Idk if I’m gonna keep driving in mn or switch to operating but whatever I do I’ll stay in the asphalt game.

I don’t know about these guys but you don’t have to park at a yard to be home daily. Maybe they have a high volume customer in that town.

I worked home daily for a company that the nearest yard was 500 miles away. Parked at the customer. It’s not rocket science.

How long has it been since you last visited? Vegas is California 2.0. There's a housing boom in Blue Diamond/South West area in general.. Traffic sucks now anytime of the day like in SoCal... It just isn't what it used to be. For a 1 bed apartment that has Washer and dryer in it, good luck finding one for less than 1,000mo.. Few years back they were 600-700... (like in 2012/2013).
