Are you on the new ELD? This changed for us when we started switching over 2 months ago. The old way we were like you are. Sometimes it took me 20 minutes from the fuel island to a parking spot. Lol

There's that delivery that goes to Greenville, SC where the load is to two separate BH distributors who just happen to be right next to each other.

Ordinarily, you would get the load, bump the dock of the first location and go to sleep. They'd wake you up in the morning, unload you, and then you drive the 200 feet or so to the next delivery. When the 2nd delivery was done, you'd crawl out and park on the street. All of this would take place on your 10.

I can justify in my head using PC to leave the dock to park for the night, because at that point I'm not loaded and I'm just moving the truck to get some sleep.

But I can't justify using PC to make a 2nd delivery.

Ya we are on the new ELD. We've had the yard move stuff for months.

    This caught me by surprise.
I moved the truck from the fuel station to a parking space and before I knew it... I was in violation!
O! I can see this is going to be a lot of fun!

    JohnBoy Thanks this.

Wouldn’t it be great if we waited until our 10 hour break was up to move the truck? I mean picture this, we run all day and get to the receiver 5 hours before they open, with 30 minutes left on our day. We’re there, just can’t move without violating HOS, while at the delivery. We were early, but by law, we would be out of hours and can’t move.

    MidWest_MacDaddy and dwells40 Thank this.
