Ordering a Western Star 5700 with a DD15 475/505 HP and an Eaton FRO-17210c. 22.5in tires.
I run mostly flatlands, Minnesota to Ohio. I dont go east coast and I dont go west of KC. Rare is it I go south of Indy. I prefer to run around 70mph rather than crawling at 60. Also I rarely haul anything more than 25k and usually under 10k. What kind of rears should I get to be turning about 1300rpm at 70mph?
Not smart enough to figure out these #### calculators

1400 at 68 mph is what I like for power at least and good mpg. Go online and find a calculator also I believe 22.5 standards are about 42 in. overall.

3.36 with tall 24s would probably do it.
Diesel Dave Thanks this. -
I am certain your dealer can tell you exactly what you need. If you don't trust their numbers, don't buy a truck from them.
