KW narrow nose with a big engine

It is much more involved than that, the newer trucks did have problems running higher horsepower until they did some improvements with air flow, and many now have the fan shroud mounted to the engine itself, so they can get by with a 1/4 inch clearance, between fan and shroud.

A guy I knew passed on a few months ago. I had thought he had sold all the A models he had left, but found out yesterday a friend of mine bought the one he kept, along with his newer trucks. He had kept an a model with a kt cummins in it.

 

I met the kt powered a model on the haul road, couldn't believe he had it on the prudhoe run, but it has the big bunk and looks like a brand new truck. All black and a downright good looking rig.

 

I dont have a big motor though. Just a lil 3406B

Horsepower. plain and simple., she doesn't really need to look old school under the hood. lol

 

Hhhmmm horsepower plain and simple. Dont overlook a JWAC for hp while your makin assumptions they may be gaining on you.....while your frowning they could be passing you. You can run a separate cooling system for the JWAC is bout all I'm gonna say

 

This right here ain't no ####...I got a little motor I passed quite a few trucks the other night on the way back from ohio with 43k in the box.

 

The narrow hood option was likely available till the end of the A model production, I know I have seen at least a 79 with factory narrow hood.
