While this is intended to be a joke, it would actually go quite a ways towards explaining how the toilet stall water bottles came to be a thing... too many people take what Commiefornia has to say as gospel. I think it's high time the power trip is brought to an end. Hard and fast, just like they were hit by the freight train that is realityDeere hunter, Snailexpress and sdaniel Thank this. -

This bill will have extremely limited air quality impact. Truckers replaced all of their older equipment with 2010 diesel emissions technology under the 2008 Truck & Bus rule on a sliding scale. The last of the older engines (already retrofitted) must leave the state by 2023.
But more important, unlike cars that can continue running, these new diesel engines just don't run if there is an emissions problem. The driver gets the dreaded "check engine" light and then has very little time to make repairs (sometimes as little as 2 hours drive time). After that the engine derates to 5 MPH and shuts down until repairs are made.
This new bill creates another expensive law with dubious benefits.truckdriver31 and Intothesunset Thank this. -
I guess Tesla will sell more of their Semi trucks in California soon.
