authority question

    drivers with your own authority how do you drive and recieve your faxes.im leased to a company that charges me 10% and i find my own loads im doing all the work and not getting all the pay.they do your fuel taxes and check brokers credit but i can check there credit on the load board when i find the load.how hard is it to do everything and drive a truck.

    homesick, do you have your own aircard for the internet? If so, try magicjack as that phone line can be used as a fax line.

    I use an internet fax service and an aircard with my cell phone provider. Scan, upload, fax....received faxes notify me via email (I get email notifications on my phone).

    I was wondering the same being new myself but I recently saw that Internettruckstop has a new feature called file check, I guess you fax in you papers to the website and they are stored for you electronically so that the load u pick, the broker will have access to the documents online when u provide your password for the documents.:biggrin_25525:

    That really doesn't save you anything. You still have to fax the contract and rate agreement back to the broker which is different for each job. You also have to fill out a W9 for each broker. The only document that doesn't change is your Authority and that's just one sheet compared to the 20-30 pages. The broker is going to say, WTF, just send your Authority with all the other papers. He's not going to want to log on to another site just for that.
