Is there freight out there for drivers with own authority hauling dry bulk on loadboards? I've fiddled with DATs board looking for Hopper bottom, pneumatic, and end dump but there seems to be very, very little at all. granted its only there demo but still. Whats the best way to find these loads?
I have my own truck, i have insurance figured out, im just waiting to pull the trigger on getting my authority once i figure out what im going to haul and what i want to haul is dry bulk, but what little research i can do on it seems as if there isn't a market for it in my area even though i see Oakley end dumps rolling through daily.

Bulkloads.com they only deal in walking floors ends and hoppers lots of loads on there
Danbo, Long FLD and Rounded_nut Thank this. -
Locally, there is sand, and a friend used to haul that long distance on hoppers, also borax. Small company in Iowa. The sand was for fracking, so I was told.

Sign up for bulkloads.com and poke around in their load board. I’m not saying it can’t be done but running around where I do I’ve yet to see a guy with one truck and his own authority pulling a pneumatic.

Finding local work. So to speak. Is pretty tough these days.
Companies that have more then 1 truck are already established with their customers.
Customers already have their needs fullfilled with carriers.
Used to be all kinds of ads. Not anymore. So far I've only found 2 companies hauling oil. To lease on to. But I don't think either company is worth the pot to piss in. 1 of them has fairly new trucks. The other has trucks worn down worse then what I already drive.
The rest of what little bit is out there. Is OTR.
I'm not even seeing container companies these days.
I've found a loadboard that might be interesting. Out and back power only. But like you. I have no active dot # to sign up.
I don't really want to run ELD. But if I have to. I want local or I'd consider out and back.
I have absolutely ZERO desire to OTR.
