    The youngsters call it being extra. What I’m talking about is things like the apparent need for fingerless gloves when driving. It’s something I’ve never understood. Kinda like running your Jakes through a parking lot. My wife even asked me “What’s with the dudes and their gloves?” I said to protect their delicate hands against those barbed wire wrapped steering wheels and so they can keep both their main and side chick right in front of them in matching cutoffs.     One benefit is to keep the sun off your hands. The sun will destroy the top of your hands and there's no way to reverse it. Your hands will eventually look 20 years older than the rest of your body.

    Keep your window rolled up. I’ll crack a window at night but during the day I keep everything closed up. Going on 23 years out here and the left side of my body looks the same as the right side.
