They pass you like 5-6 times a day. Truck stop next exit - boom off they go

You'd be surprised how much of a difference it makes. And yeah, if you're speed is 1/4 mph faster, just stay in the right lane and maintain distance. Over the course of a 10 hr day 1/4 mph is what, 30 seconds?

I don’t say much about others driving unless it makes me angry (don’t endanger my life by acting a fool)
I also don’t see the point in blasting through construction zones at 10 over. I’ll generally run 2-3under the speed limit.

The trucks with the radar-assisted cruise-control & braking, if you are tailgating them, are eventually going to break the tailgater's bad habit. My truck will randomly initiate a panic stop because I'm going under a bridge or road sign over the road. NOTHING I can do will prevent the automated brake check. I've had it happen using/not using cruise-control. I've had it happen on cruise-control with "gas pedal" up and with gas pedal being held fully down by my foot.

If I see that you've been creeping up on me, and you get in the left lane to pass and theres traffic coming, I will just bump the cruise down a couple notches. No big deal for me to help you pass and not be part of the impeding of traffic. If I come up on someone, I look and make sure I have a chunk of space to pass in, in case they're not as polite. And I watch for hills too... a guy going slow up a hill may be traveling faster than me on a flat, so I dont turtle race him up the hill and make him pass me again. It's just being nice and not making someone else's day suck so I can maintain my speed no matter what. It makes MY day tense too.

Same thing for our units. I wonder if the brake lights come on during these unexpected panic stops?

I don’t flash my lights at the morons who have no buisness in the fast lane trying to pass but I will tell you that you are number one and will for sure let you know how much you suck at life on the cb.. most of the morons passing trucks at a 1/2 faster pace don’t run cbs to hear me tho.. same goes for the morons sitting in the middle lane at 10 under the limit in zones marked no trucks left lane.. if trucks are passing you on the right then you are in the wrong lane morons

I don’t mind backing off to let someone around me but.......

I’ve been burned so many times by them slowing back down under my original speed once they get in front of me.

Like “what’s the point of all that?”

D.Tibbitt, Dennixx and FlaSwampRat Thank this.

I assume brake lights do activate. Some of the tailgaters are so close the brake lights wouldn't do them any good.

    D.Tibbitt and Dennixx Thank this.
