Was watching YouTube truck crashes and noticed that swift seemed to be popular in the videos. Looked up their safer rating, 42 fatal accidents. Wow is all I’m going to say!!

Yes they have a lot. You have to look at the national average of miles per fatality and then divide. High yes not crazy. They have tons of trucks out there every day. They log so many miles a year it’s crazy.

If you read there quarterly report on there stock it really breaks down these fatal accidents and the costs they have put aside

I’m in no way a supporting Swift. I’m just being objective. Your chances of being in a fatal truck accident are almost zero. If you comply with you diet and be aware of traffic around you.

    Be Safe Out There

1155 tow crashes sure seems like a high % to me even if they do have a lot of trucks.. 1 in 4 put out of service in Canada for both vehicle and driver by the looks of it.. maybe scales are too lenient stateside

Remember they do have 20,000 drivers. Plus they are a starting company. Those two things combined mean they will be visible.

fault or no fault. a tow away is a reportable event. 41 of those people could have been at fault.

Actually there is a database that has been logged since approximately the 60's simply titled Fatal Motor Bus and Motor Truck crashes by year. You will find that the number of crashes hold constant but due to improvements in safety appliances fatality rates have declined ever so slightly.

Until you have say a Cuban who bypasses everything offered to same on several mountain passes and deliberately kills 4 people because he is afraid of hitting a matress truck on the shoulder after 10 miles or more of problems.

All he had to do was stop. Even if it's in a field somewhere long before he reached West Denver. But now he gets a lifetime to sit and consider the wreck that put him into the jail every waking day.
