Snackbar's new adventure at Moore Freight Services

1st week that Wylie processed payroll, and my check is $400 short. Honestly, I have achieved a new level of pissed off.

 

Found out after my dispatcher went home and he is the one who has to track down why before fixing. That's the thing about Wylie...paperwork and double talk to delay and complicate everything. Went to get some winter wiper blades for my truck from our shop. Instead of just pulling up my truck and logging a couple on to it's truck number, he had to get out this form, fill it all out like I was at a Mack dealer, including VIN and mileage...and I was putting them on myself

 

I saw an ad for Wylie in my area this week. 1st time I have seen it ever. Perhaps they are getting ready for the inevitable mass exadous that is gonna happen once they take full control and erase Moore from existence.

Speaking of erasing Moore from existance, Moore's Facebook page is gone.

 

Part of the pay has been fixed and it will hopefully be on next weeks pay. As for the other part, payroll has been notified, we shall see if it is there next week. Talking with a few other drivers that were due the same type of pay (loading pay), they were missing it as well. We're hoping that this is a glitch and not a change that Wylie is making or else they're gonna have a problem getting drivers to load their own loads.

Lots of loads rolling out of Spring Hill this weekend, some to Canada, some to TX...I get the dreaded Chicago load. People cringe when they see this load in the box, mostly because it is such a PITA location. Nice enough people to deliver too, and they tend to be fairly quick about unloading, but it's just a tough place to access, even with a 45' double drop.

 

Empty in good time this morning, just in time for morning rush hour in Chicago, during a rainstorm. They have me headed to Romulus, MI to live load a load to Concord, ON . 1st time I've ever loaded at this customer, we shall see. Hopefully they got the glitch straightened out with our load pay.

 

After I got loaded, I already got my next load. Once I got empty in Concord this a.m. I headed SW of Detroit to pick up at a Guardian plant headed for Quebec City for Friday. I am trying to get to Mascot, my physical is about to expire and with all this switching of systems from Moore to Wylie, my request to get there keeps getting bumped. It expires on Halloween, so they better get their stuff straight.
