Frankly, I would have told the officers I thought I saw a gun and ran him over the minute he went for his door pocket.

Good on the other trucks for stopping to help, but a teachable moment here, block the suspect from leaving. The car hauler made an attempt but he wasn't fast enough.

that's when you run up thier butt....

not a nice thing to do, and you might face charges, but hey, that dash cam "may have" exonerated the truck driver

i'd call that self preservation or self defense.....i'm sure however, the courts may see it another way

FedEx safety dept may not be happy with him leaving the truck, but when he goes for the trunk?

    He might have an AR-15!
I'm not defending myself I'm stopping a mass shooter.*

(*this is sarcasm related to any crime reported by mass media that "fits the narrative", if that makes that clear.)

Years ago when crooks were treating late night convience stores like ATMs (git da money!) it became common knowledge that corporate's position was anything less than compliance was grounds for immediate termination.

Which was all well and good until an entire shift of a Brooklyn Wendy's was led to the downstairs walk in freezer and then executed. Yeah,,, they don't talk about that one much.

After that I figured if I ever had to work a cashier night shift job alone, I'd keep my resignation letter along with a loaded .38 in a box below my register.

"Before I hand you the money, could you read this letter? Out loud, so the cameras can hear it? Thanks."
