Who uses uber/lift ?

Lots of us do I think. I certainly do when I need to. It's a cheap way to get around any decent sized city.

 

I use them all the time. They have been a life saver more than once when I was broke down and needed parts. Saved me hundreds of dollars versus having a road service come out.


Gotta remember to tip the driver!!!

 

I used Uber several times when I was OTR. Especially when I was getting in a 34 hour reset or something like that. I went all kind of places. It is nice to be able to go shopping or just have a night out of the truck doing things.

 

I just bobtailed wherever. Put the trailer up in a good place with permission and take off run around.

If it is necessary just called enterprise and have them deliver me a car. And run around in that a few days.

 

I have used Uber and Lyft many times on the road.
The only problem I had was going to a Buffalo Wild Wings to watch some NCAA basketball and when I was leaving there was no Ubers on duty. I had to walk the couple miles back to the truck stop.
So the lesson is... if it’s a ‘small’ market, make sure to not go too far in case they aren’t on duty when you need to return...

Ive used it at home too.

 

I use it often. Last few times were going to a fitness center in MN, in FL to go to the ocean and and in TN had Uber driver bring me a part from a Volvo dealer from over 60 miles away

 

Yes but it is quite expensive sometimes.

Just park in a parking lot down the street from the bar so that they can't prove where you were

 

I use it quite a bit if I’m hanging out someplace on the weekend. Best part is you don’t have to worry about parking. Nothing like going to a sporting event and getting dropped off at the door.

 

I use Uber to get to and from my home to our terminal sometimes.
