Does anyone know if the electronic clutch actuator from a ultra shift or auto shift fits an 8ll trans?

It appears the world may never know. You may need to list model numbers. I did put a bell housing off a 14 series 13 speed on a 16 series 3 pedal awful shift. Housings seem to be universal. It may work. What exactly are you wanting to do?

I cannot answer all of that for you. However if I were in your situation I would look for set up like Autocars used in the late 80,s. It had a hydraulic master cylinder on the firewall. The transmission top plate had a hydraulic over air unit bolted to it. It functioned the clutch shaft arm.
You can probably push a pedal down on one of those with a couple of fingers. I bought a master cylinder for one of those in the last 6 months.
That would probably require some bone yard parts. Then have to figure out the master cylinder deal.
Best I remember and just sharing the idea. Maybe someone else has a better one.spsauerland and pushbroom Thank this. -

ECA's on ultrashifts require different bell-housings and clutches to work. They are also a smart component, not just a on-off control. Best bet is a easy pedal clutch or some type of hydraulic/ air assist. On old school vac trucks I have seen air actuators hooked to the clutch linkage however I would not do that for on road and the DOT would eat you alive if they saw it. What model/type of truck

The 90's WhiteGMC/Volvo Autocar had a factory option for an air assist clutch. Sales brochure (which I probably still have stashed away somewhere lol) claims clutch pedal effort was reduced to 30ish lbs. I did work on one years ago and remember the pedal effort was pretty low. Never looked at the linkage on it but judging by the little bit of lag time I'd have to guess it was completely air actuated. Must've had some kind of porportioning air valve attached to the pedal maybe?

Pete 579 hydraulic/air clutch could be pressed with one finger. crazy easy

If you have a good truck but just need some clutch pedal relief I would look into that.spsauerland and pushbroom Thank this.
