I dont have a whole lot of experience on detroits but worn valve guides can produce the same symptom
Oil coming out of cylinder head one hole only.

I changed the o rings, and put the new crush ring, no more leaking. Trucks still running rough though, injector may be bad, or algae in tanks. Hopefully I can get tanks cleaned up. Maybe another cup leaking, still have a few tiny bubbles in tank. We’ll see.
PupaINC Thanks this. -
So I just pulled my exhaust manifold, #6 hole is by far the wettest, then 5, 4, 3... 2 and 1 are perfectly dry.
Had the head off and tested and new injectors in nov, full in frame in dec (major shop fail, they put the truck back together in nov. drove it for a week and filled the crank case with water, cylinder #1 liner leaking, took it home and did the inframe my self)... its been blowing blue smoke when the Jake first kicks on - only a second- and when you first step on it after you are coasting or driving a bit with no load.
I checked the valve lash in jan and made some slight adjustments, but it's popping that blue smoke.
My turbo is a little loose, have another one to put on, and it's definitely looser than when I had it off in dec.
My question is, if #6 id leaking by the valve seal, would the oil travel down to the other holes?
Or, if it's the turbo, would the oil make it up to the head? -
#6 is likely your issue. Oil isn't going to flow back from the turbo.

That's whati was thinking... when I did the the inframe, there was carbon built up on the valve faces, I cleaned them up, but if I missed some on the #6 exhaust valves and they aren't seating, could that cause? Id hate to put new seals in, redo the lash, and still be blowing oil lol.
Looking closer, the valves in the other cylinders are dry, just the holes are wet, but has oil on it
