Then in my opinion it’s a stretch to try and tie it to the mandate when we all know there are more trucks on the road now than before. Comparing fatalities per million miles for two different years would be a direct comparison.

I'd like to know what percentage of those fatalities are Mega drivers and/or emissions-equipment related fires. There are a lot of mega trucks and scorched pavement sections out there, that's the place to start.

Rideandrepair, x1Heavy and Long FLD Thank this.

From what I see, no parking at night, Truckstop empty by 9:00 AM. The problem is more Trucks on the road, at peak traffic hours. My guess is the increase has to do more with 4 wheelers driving habits, causing the accidents.

Call an underwriter, they can break down the numbers for you.

The insurance company keeps those stats.

That's not why the megas pushed eld.

It was so the freight they pull for $4 would be equal to the freight independents are pulling for $2.

I'd like to see a color coded pie chart of those fatalities, by carrier.

There would be alot less accidents if we were only driving in 1988 traffic...

No cell phones, less traffic, more truckers that actually wanted to truck.
