Considering the average loaded diesel in these parts is closing in on 6 figures its the only way the average person can afford one. That's like $1,200/month.

Even a Suburban or a Navigator is pushing $85-90k. Its rediculous. I could just about buy and re-power/repair 3 old square body Chevys for the price of a new base model truck.

First of I'm not a ford guy. But 5,000 bucks cash. Dropped insurance to liability for 89 bucks a year. If it get wrecked I'll go buy another one. I'm not giving them 70k for a 4 door pussmobile 5.5 foot bed that can't haul a sheet of plywood.

It's not a pickup without a 8' bed. If it's less than that you bought a SUV with some extra storage.

I like my 6.5' bed/extended cabs. The 5'8" bed just looks stupid. Not porportionate at all to the truck. I do think the Super Dutys with the extended cab and 8' bed look great though.

When I was lane boss my job is to drag a battery and see if we can get em started. The crew was to tell me if the car aint got brakes. If not? No sale barn at all it stays right where it is.

Certain used car dealers did not put a dollar into the cars after they got em in trade and that is why they just flip em off for whatever they can get. Half the dealers like top end products and might buy one or two gems. And pass the rest of the pile.

I had a caddy that was questionable in the barn lane and sure enough the brakes quit. Even the reserve cylinder quit. By the time I killed the engine to lock the pawl and engage the manual brake (Nothing left back there...) I rammed the van in front. The big problem is people walking between vehicles. Anyone between us would have at minimum lost his legs up to losing his life in a very interesting death.

I keep picking on caddys, but when people do not take care of them when they need expensive stuff well guess what. To the used car lot they go.

All of that is routine. What makes life interesting is car fires. Fire one of them up BOOOM you have a pyre ahead of the fire wall due to rotted fuel lines failing. I would be the one to get in and get it moved this way or that as my crew works on certain counter measures as the fire truck came running. (Example, opening the fuel cap. That way the gas tank does not explode. But it would certainly flare out pretty quick which is why we needed to get that car out of it's lane into the open)

Plenty of time. Takes a few minutes to get past the firewall.

I had a Lexus catch fire on the sale block as the auction man chanted prices. I think he was around 4 grand for that POS gold plated junk pile when smoke rolled up from around the bottom. She pretty much died then and there and the people got it out into the salvage line where it burned. No biggie. No loss.

I know,Crazy But its because many people simply cant fix things-So they have to go new every few years.

And its becoming harder to buy new for families that barely get by.

Prices of vehicles go up but wages cant keep up.....

So,Theres the 7 year car loan- $289 per month at 6-9% interest 84 months-

They'll end up trading it in for new in 3-4 years......Hopefully Break even on trade in value- Then do it all over again.

Id never do it- But it happens with millions of families.

like 45K.... go any bigger and your 60 plus K.... so yes 7 year loan for a regular person. Or don’t buy the F350 king ranch.

Only if it had a 95% balloon note at the end and I was planning to let the bank have it.
