I am a 55 year old Marine Corp Veteran making a career change. I just finished CR ENGLAND training school and have my CDL. I am posting on here looking for advice from the trucking companies themselves.
Here is my situation. Since I went to CR ENGLAND school I either have to pay back the tuition myself $5995 or be under contract for 9 months. Normally it's 12 months but since I'm a veteran it it's only nine months. I was thinking about looking for a company that might pay tuition reimbursement for a driver who is willing to do over the road and drive as far as long as they need and not worried about the home time right now. Or should I stick out the nine months and then seek another company to go to work for. I know you're probably wondering why am I wanting to leave CR England and some of you probably aren't wondering that but from what I've seen of the drivers that are coming in here they are not getting the miles that they were told they would get an average weekly basis.
So if there's any companies out there that would like to offer up their opinion I would be very grateful
Thank you for your time.
USMC VETERAN just got my CDL
