hello everybody I need some advices on this car hauler business I have a 5 pack truck and iam trying to get some thing steady and not depent on cental distpach for everything how is the best way to get some account I leave on north new jersey if any body have some susgestion I will be glad to hear from yall.

call one of the big companies and request a carrier packet. fill out packet and call dispatch and start hauling.

it is up to you to be observant. I cant do it for you. if you go park by the port in your area or maybe a railyard you will see one the big companies driving by with a load of cars. call that company and tell them you want to be a sub hauler. go from there brother

Well my Original quote was through the roof for brand new Authority, but after shopping around I found something I thought to be reasonable. 16,500 premium for the year. I only have intrastate authority so no MC#. Just DOT#. I run a Ram dually with 4 car in Florida. But the problem is keeping the wheels turning. Definitely listen to the guys who have been in this business for a while and have some things set up before you jump into it. Homework, Homework, Homework.
