We bought a 379 that had a big visor. I got tired of not being able to see the traffic lights, so I took it off and put a factory visor back on. At 6'3", I'm not going to ride with my seat on the floor and my knees in my chest.

What you can see is not lmportant as long as you look cool.

Heck if you look cool enough people will see you and move out of your way so you can keep trucking and not stop so you make more money

I have a blackout curtain inside my windshield. These curtains were designed to block out 99% of sun light and were intended to use at home. You can find them at Walmart for $10. Just measure your windshield and side windows, and cut the curtain and glue it with some (foam) mounting tape.

Here was the inside of my FLD. Put the seat on the floor, cut the shifter down (not extend it, that’s a dumb fad), put something cool on the back of the visor, and go trucking.

They are like anything else you get used to a big visor. When I bought my truck had one big enough where I couldn't see up hills even sitting on the floor so I put a little bit smaller one on it. Doesn't block as much of the sun but still helps out a lot. The other one you never saw the sun, by the time it got to the top of the trees it was behind the visor already

You can't see anything at 2 o'clock. This explains how some trucks push cars for miles without realizing.

There’s a peep window in the door for a reason. Pretty easy to see what’s right next to you.

Tall Mike and Tug Toy Thank this.
