Drivers can't say I lose money or make less money if we drive 500 miles a day Then claim we are racing the clock on the other side and how we are always under pressure and will run out of hours before we get home. If you want to push to get that extra load in for the week. You might not get home, that's your choice. I would pick less miles and getting home and not racing the clock every day.

The petition is a facade, you need to register to vote, vote and then get involved with your representives to make your voices heard.

What do you think gave us all of this crap?

Those who wanted this did exactly what I just said to do, they didn't sign petitions.

As others said...if megas are fighting for it to stay, you'll lose.

Money + lobbyist/politician = Win. He with the most money, gets things the way they want them.

Far as I know there is No law that says they have to listen or act on your petition regardless of how many people sign it. If there was we'd have a Death Star built by now. Seriously...it was a petition. :)

Find a lobbyist, fund said lobbyist, an change things. Those megas we all make fun of an talk about, are smart enough to know whose pockets to line.

It sucks but what do you expect from a bunch of greedy politicians/owners/etc?

On the bright side...5,000 people have signed a petition to make May 20th Macho Man Randy Savage day.

8 Wacky “We The People” Petitions That Actually Got Signatures

    3800 people want twinkie's nationalized.

Number 149 (1,083 signatures) asks that American military personnel be allowed to walk around with their hands in their pockets. The petition states that "we hold these truths to be self-evident: that all uniforms have pockets and hands fit perfectly inside them, and they sheathe our knife hands gloriously. It must be acknowledged that placing one's hands in one's pockets is not a sign of disrespect, but a precautionary action to prevent injuries." - The 10 Craziest Citizen Petitions To The White House

    Good luck!

Sirscrapntruckalot - Almost 40,000 people signed a petition to not allow the FDA to regulate Premium Cigars. - Same link as above.

That's true too, but if there was a Million plus signatures that would definitely get people's attention. Could be wayy more than that, but people don't know how to stick together to get things accomplished. Too many hard headed truck drivers or union groups bucking the system

Yeah, but you know what, each and every one of us who drive a truck are partly to blame bc if we all stuck together and refused to start our trucks for a week or 2 all at the same time. This Country would almost cripple, but you can't get enough trucker's to stick together to get something Massive accomplished like that

Run an old truck, run a glider, or haul livestock. Problem solved.

Well a person on paper logs isn't going to admit that they are a student in Creative Logging 101 lol. You want the freedom to drive when you want sleep when you want and if its a created trip, so what? Nobody thinks they should ever be told what to do but yet they beg leaders to change their minds after a mandate. It's just too many people are resistant to change. That's where the real hatred comes to elog. Even if they did repeal it, I'd never go back to paper. I get better sleep, it's less stress, loads actually have to be planned, and it's more money. More efficiency. I don't feel like I'm being ran into the dirt for a society that really don't care about you. And the falsifying that I did, it didn't really increase my pay all that much. In fact, I make more money now

This petition is a joke. This country has bigger problems than a bunch of crybaby truck drivers that can't cheat on their logs anymore.
