Look for flags flying, if strained to the max, and dancing, best pay heed.

I most often pull 53 foot reefers, and deadhead or haul light, often.

I don't often see the windswept plains, either.

For general wind work out west I would eye that trailer. If shes dancing a little with all wheels on the road alls well. But if I start getting that 5th wheel twist when shes coming up on one side against the wind loaded in particular... I find myself a spot instantly. I don't care where. Plan B is 20 mph until I can get to that spot.

USUALLY I check NOAA of a given state known to have winds.

I remember a incident on which is I-80 before the Wyoming POE where you go between two large ridges. (Wahsatch) That one I did not enjoy at all. Being on ice. It was just impossible but we pretty much piled into Fort Bridger and said EFF this for tonight. The thought of 400 more miles across Wyoming in that... forget it. Im good but not that good.

Appreciated. Ive got a old 460 DVR and have a generational sony replacement I am planning on buying at the store for birthday in a few weeks. I just have not settled on it's specs being either equal to or better than what the old Sony could do on tape. (Memory card is horrible because digital sensor resolution is like 2004.) I am hoping and banking on that new one at the store to be way more sensitive.

I'll keep that site. Should have found it a very long time ago.

I already am more than halfway to purchasing that one anyway. Any time Sony builds a camera or device a generation updating to what we do today on our computers Im all over it anyway. Firewire is so ancient. Ive got full USB 3 which I suspect is still good but we'll see.

God Lord !! I'm sure you had to change your underwear after that thrill ride !!

I grew up a few miles from Somerset, Pa. Beautiful country! Back in the 1960s, my old man actually had a golden opportunity to buy 100 Acres of land right square at the 76 PA Turnpike interchange Exit area for dirt cheap. He said..... Nah....... I'll pass. He was a real ####### with money. Died broke and in debt up to his ###. Oh yea, he was a Doctor.
