Well, some days are better than others, started out pulling my tractor into the shop to tighten up the 5th wheel slack, and of course I snapped the adjustment screw off, Great, now I guess I will just order a rebuild kit and be done with it.

It did give me some time to get a little further on my cart, got motor plate figured out, seating position and front foot rest bracket made, starting to look like something, I guess steering will be next! 20191026_151152.jpg 20191026_151240.jpg 20191026_151142.jpg

Transaxle is a Peerless out of a mower, just modified for more speed, heat.

Did you have one of those guys who builds the racing lawn mowers modify the trans axel?
Also doyou think that little bitty mechanical disc brake will stop you when you come flying up on that must have at 50 + mph lol

Lol, Yeah a little shop down in Butler Mo. called Rom's Reworks did the transaxle, added an extra shaft seal, removed bushing and replaced with bearings, changed the shaft length and so other tricks, eventually, after it gets running and sorted out I will be adding rear disc brakes, been holding off because I was deciding between Cable or Hydraulic, but I like the way you think, lol

    That’s awesome.
I didn’t think those shaft bushings would stand much of chance when that CVT system up shifts to 1:1 or especially if it goes in to overdrive lol.
That engine governed to 3650 rpm?
Or do plan on spinning it a little faster?

Your right! Motor is gov. at 3600, but have it on good authority I can mod the Gov. to get it to 4400 without killing it.

Do you think you will need to spin it up to 4400 to get the desired speed out of it?
Does your CVT system have any overdrive built in to it or does it stop shifting at 1:1?
I don’t have much experience on the small cvt systems but I have literally thousands of hours of clutch testing and tuning on both four stroke and two stroke snowmobiles.
We machined the secondary for a bit of extra overdrive on my 2012 turbo arctic cat and got some pretty good top end improvements out of it with out increasing engine rpm.

I really doubt I will have to turn it up to get what I want, BUT it's always nice having a little "extra" if ya need it, lol
