Dave, with all due respect I think you may be misunderstanding where my gripe lies.

I waited from 1300 to 1600 to get into the shop for a tire. Ok. That comes with the territory.

I then waited from 1600 to 1930, while my truck was in the garage, for it to be changed.

It took them 3.5 hours to change a tire man.......No, they weren't working on it the entire time, but if you say my truck is ready to be worked on......How does this happen?

    FlaSwampRat and truckdriver31 Thank this.

I went to pay for a shower afterwards. The cashier gave me a free shower and told me next time I'm in the shop, just give them my work number and I can get a free shower.

that small gesture of kindness made me feel a lot better. God bless her.

I have no problem going to my grave knowing I didn't support this type of thing, at least knowingly. I would rather just say I didn't. lol

I feel your pain, and see where a guy has no choice when driving a company truck, but have a hard time understanding why a company would subject their trucks to this either.

Don't know. I hooked up to it last night in a dark drop yard, slept there overnight, didn't see it obviously.

pre tripped this morning for daylight, didn't see it. The tread was positioned perfectly against the ground so that unless I loved the truck and the tire moved, it was invisible.

Got to receiver, lined up to back into the dock, got out to slide my tandems, saw it. It was bad man. Really bad. How the last driver didn't catch it? I don't know. I surely don't think anybody would've driven this long intentionally.

EDIT - can you guys see my picture? It's the first time I've posted on me on these forums, I copied and pasted it. Let me know if you guys can't see it. You should be able to though.

Pull a reefer if you want real frustration. I just had a load that was supposed to be preloaded and turned into a 33 hour live load.

Now I see you are at Gary, well that sort of fits with what my opinion of that place was 12 or more years ago, II wouldn't even buy fuel there myself.

These sound like good reason to pull a smooth bore, not much of a weight on loading or unloading, if theres a problem with equipment, I call dispatch if theres a delay I simply go home till its fixed and get paid showup pay for my trouble.
