    The freightliner Fl, Flc, Fld, Flb what have you have no frame to the cab. Door frames and window frames then aluminum sheet metal. Built like a plane in the day. They were the first with a aluminum cab in the ww2 Consolidated freightways era. Pretty neat history history CF wanted trucks no one could build for them. So they started building their own.

    In my memory, it was a 77 model with a later model hood....

    Rolling down I-59 between Chattanooga & Birmingham which was rough as a cob back then!! The dang back glass popped out right on my shoulders! That camelback was not forgiving running light lol....

    Thought it started out as custom built trucks just for them by white called white-freightliner then the shot off to their own thing without the white

    Not to presume to speak for him, but the 379 cab is definitely wider. I’ve seen enough of them myself.
