What I don't understand how people are surprised a company would screw a worker over. I have multiple drivers former and current drivers that are my relatives, some were even coal miners amongst other professions, the pay was decent for a person without a formal education. You can become a stonemason, a carpenter, welder electrician all these are skilled trades and there are a way's to avoid formal education and make a decent living some are harder on the body than others but they are what they are.
I had relatives who were coal miners before ww2 where you would stay in a company house get paid in money sometimes even with currency that was only good at certain places basically company own places, company vehicles, and taxes from the company by the end of the day the smart ones knew they owned them you wanted more they thought you were worth they fired you, lose your house, car, and you lost good amount wages from the taxes from living there. The company screwing the working man, or woman didn't stop then and won't stop tomorrow they will find another way to short the worker your best bet is to do what you can live with and move on.
In 10 years what has not changed..

I'm just now reading this thread. While I'm not a fan of the OP's insults and name-calling, you did a fine job with your rebuttal. My initial instinct was to delete his remarks to you, but then I would have had to remove your remarks to him. I couldn't bring myself to remove your words of wisdom.
Well done, sir, well done.x1Heavy, bryan21384, tarmadilo and 9 others Thank this. -

@dillpickle I learned after a few years what every driver needs to learn. Sometimes you need, and have to say NO.

Imagine spending your golden years of retirement #### posting on a trucking forum, telling millennials and new truck drivers how lazy and entitled they are.
