"Children who were at a nearby daycare center were evacuated to another location while the bus was being removed and repairs were made in the area, WPXI reported."

Why do adults have to ruin all the fun for the kids? That would have been awesome entertainment for them.

    Lepton1 and x1Heavy Thank this.

In Baltimore we still have 5 inch thick cobble stone laid 5 generations ago under a foot of pavement and trolley tracks. It would be very difficult to sinkhole that.

However it has been done before. The last one I learned of was on Argonne Ave I think it was where a 5 to 6 foot wide trans city water main failed from about 1904 through to around 2008 or so. Ate that street right up in a few hours, being a 4 lane dual travel way.

They were evacuated to the hotel across the street, they had a great view, LOL. My company delivers to that day care, a restaurant right in front of the sink hole and we use that street to get into the alley to deliver another customer. The next six weeks I now have to park in the bike lane on Penn to deliver through the front door since I can't use the alley. Actually easier that way lol
