This picture kinda fascinates me because Wendy Hill came into Roadmasters Orlando in 2011 recruiting. I’ve seen their trucks on the road for 8 years now... never ever seen a dry van trailer. They haul mostly plants and I swear 90% of the fleet is pulling the old Thermoking SB3s. The first image is not a Wendy Hill truck though.

What endorsements do you have? Sorry if I've asked this already in another thread. You are gonna want doubles and triples and tank (we do those stupid totes). Honestly how is your driving? I know you are fresh out of school but are you pretty confident with shifting and everything? We have zero automatic trucks (tho there is a legend about a few that exist....I don't buy it lol). Best part about the job is home everyday and it's easy work, everything is on rd pallets with a lift gate so no ramp and unstacking in the truck. Worst part is Tampa traffic and the coolers at stores, you gotta dig thru #### to get to your stuff because these store employees just throw everything everywhere. 15728953370416280284100358927024.jpg
The insurance can be a lil pricey for a family but it's really good coverage. Those prices are every two weeks.

I probably would have been but I just put my two weeks notice in. Kills me to leave this job but I am honestly burnt out on nights and don't wanna do the merchandising. There are no day bulk runs available so I gotta move on. That being said op there are a ton of jobs down here if you find out you don't like soda. One day and I have three interviews/road tests set up lol. I honestly have to quit looking until I am out of coke so I have more time. Working nights and then trying to go meet someone and not look like you just rolled out of bed is tough lol.

Good luck to the OP. @FlaSwampRat is good people. Other then stealing my thunder with the banjo meme I have nothing but good things to say about him.

He uses his left and right turn indicators, so he must be good people. It's a proven fact people who use turn signals are good people. People who don't are lazy and deserve to be beaten with a stuffed ham hock.

    :)

Sirscrapntruckalot - Coca Cola...it's a helluva drug. - Rick James...if he had been into soda more then drugs.

My big warning with moving to Tampa is the traffic. It's soooooo bad. I used to run philly to NYC and would pay a company to let me do that again to not have to deal with the traffic here lol. When I lived in Tampa I was working at a shop 3.4 miles away on w Hillsborough Ave....I lived and worked on the same road.....if I left at 5 pm it has taken 45 minutes to get home. I rode my bike a lot lol. You gotta be real careful to try to avoid having to use 275 ever because it's a 24/7 parking lot. People know and complain about I-4 but it's a dream compared to 275. If this all works out for you the best place to look is in Brandon/Valrico area because you are on the other side of all the crap.

What kinda trucking you looking to get into? Tankers? Yea nights are difficult I've struggled with taking a job that alot of folks would immediately jump at but I dont think the graveyard shift will work out for me.

There are about a million tank outfits right around me so that's a possibility but they also run 24 hours a day and I don't want to get stuck on nights with one of them. I'm looking into construction work because those guys start early and get done early, I might have a in at a company to do oversize overweight stuff. There is a lot of end dump work around here too but I honestly don't know anything about it
