I have seen no mention of school. One thing I would be concerned with, is many companies send you to their preferred place to get another physical before you can work for them, it is usually a bit more to it when this happens, it sounds like most require a sleep apnea test.

You can treat the sleep apnea now, so you're prepared for it.
www.rpmhst.com - for discount supplies
www.inspiresleep.com - FDA approved. DOT approved. Some insurance pays for this and some VA hospitals pay for it.truckdriver31 Thanks this. -
Keep in mind if you dont eat before your test then your sugar goes up and will keep going up. Try and get there first thing in morning. If you test your sugar and it is at 100 then it will steadily increase, without eating, little by little.
As far as BP goes, I dont need meds. Mine is really good for being diabetic.
Sleep apneia, that is a whole new ball game. I would disclose it. But I would also follow @Chinatown and his post 13.truckdriver31 and bigkev1115 Thank this. -
If your company is a medium or larger sized operation they’re going to require you to get a physical through their own Drs. (Most likely). I just went through this unfortunately although I don’t think I have as many health problems as you do but I have high BP. Here’s what I did....
They initially tried to send me to Concentra. I refused. They said it’s a requirement for insurance. So I kindly asked if the insurance would allow me to go anywhere but concentra. To my surprised they agreed and provided me with a list of Drs. I thumbed through about 5 or 6 different clinics before deciding on a mom and pop operation with good google reviews.
My initial BP test was on an electronic machine. Of course it was WAY over the limit. So I asked if they’d be willing to test me on a manual cuff. I told them I didn’t think the machines were accurate. I knew that most of these nursing techs really don’t know what they’re doing when it comes to older technology so I gambled and it paid off. The 20 year old taking my BP with the manual cuff got me a pass on the first try. I’m entirely sure she didn’t know what she was doing.
As far as the questionnaire my advice would be to just check NO for everything. From what I understand they only check for drugs and sugar levels to make sure your kidneys are functioning properly. These are very low tech piss tests, I doubt an undisclosed legal pharmaceutical would show up in them.
Lastly, avoid concentra and US health works at all costs. I’m convinced They exist solely for the purpose of referring out to receive kick backs. You could be healthy as a horse and they’ll still find something to complain about. And if you’re fat and unhealthy? Forget about it.tscottme and truckdriver31 Thank this. -
