Are there any drivers on here that have taken and passed a sleep apnea test.
From what I have been told, everybody fails it. I know there are genuine cases, my son in law is one of them, and getting tested and the machine was the best thing that ever happened to him.

well let's remember, that if the truck driver gets hauled off to the hospital, as i mentioned earlier, he will be fully examined and blood will be drawn, to check for drugs/alcohol, which i do believe if he is conscience, he has to agree to. i do not know if the blood is drawn on an un-conscience person, that may be a legal issue.

either way, let's try to remember that once we sign on that proverbial dotted line, we swear/attest that everything is true and correct.

now if found the driver is a diabetic, and hey, maybe he went into a diabetic shock/coma, which caused the accident, i can assure you that they will look up his application form, his DOT physical form as well.

no, i don;t need a cubicle of khaki pants or a polo shirt to read the fate of that driver, for lying on a federal form.

    does everyone disclose everything..??

no, but i know i did, and thankfully, i had no health issues, even a darned good BMI.

in the end, is it worth the legal issues, in the event of a serious injury or death accident?

the ramifications of that drivers future are etched into stone at that point.

blackballed for lying, falsifying a federal document(s), most likely a big fine, and if you read most applications, jail time.

hey, the o/p is going to do what he wants, seems to me he has no self respect, let alone any morals or ethic's.

i know one thing for sure, i would NOT want to be in his shoes, should he wreck, and they crawl into his butt hole, all the way up to his brains.....cuz ya'll know, that's what even a cheap attorney will do.....and the really great attorneys..???

    he'll never survive.

I personally have never lied on a form. And nowhere on a form does it ask you if anyone in your family tree has had health issues which is basically what you inferred a while back. You seem to lack basic knowledge in this entire discussion which makes it harder to debate with you honestly

I knew a couple of guys that were on full blown insulin shots for years, and it never showed up on random drug tests.

Its one particular medicine. It only showed once. Had to show prescription. I was put on it once it came out several years back. Showed first drug test afterwards. Hasnt shown since. Maybe they changed their formula. I dunno. Im not a pharmacist.

I don't pretend to know how it all works, but from what I understand they only test for certain drugs or medications that automatically disqualifies you, and most others, prescription or not does not show up, maybe yours was close enough to be flagged, who knows.

Still blaming legislation as usual. Lawyer gonna have fun if you are ever in a bad wreck. You ever hear responsible for your actions???.
