    Slip seat cant be a pain tried but it never worked out. Too many issues people scared to write up problems damaged equipment , body odor etc

    We have the not writing anything up problem too but then again the assigned tractors ate worse. We have a truck that has had a headlight out for a week, I'm not saying anything because I want to see how long it takes the driver to say something....non pre tripping idiot right there.

    Thankfully at my terminal we only slip seat the tandem axles. The single screws are assigned.

    My truck may not be showroom floor material, and I do smoke in it, albeit not like a train like some drivers. One thing you’ll never find in my truck though is trash on the floor. It gets vacuumed every couple days when I get fuel.

    We are the exact opposite. The single screws are slip seat and the tandems are assigned. I smoke and there is one of them that smells like smoke so bad it's hard to breathe in. Dude must smoke two packs a day with the windows closed. They are also the I guess least pre tripped would be the best way to say it, all kinds of lights out and mirrors flopping all over the place. I'm not sure why, that's stuff that only takes a few minutes to fix. I brought writing them up at night for repair but kinda got a stay in your lane speech.

    In order to avoid other drivers getting into my assigned tractor, I usually park my tractor to the other side of terminal :D that way they too lazy to walk far and it keeps me in shape walking every time I finish my shift.

    It's my job to baby them and make sure that they are hooked up to the correct trailer so they don't have to find it in the morning.

    @"semi" retired I do take my keys with me. im thankful to have the only different brand tractor in the fleet.:D

    I have what I call my janitor key ring, every tractor in the yard. You would be surprised how many trucks are keyed the same. I have like six Freightliner keys but one key starts all but two of them and that same key works in a lot of the internationals also.

    At my side gig, I've pretty much got my own tractor, just because nobody else wants to drive it, and if they're made to, they make up things wrong with it and tag it out of service so they don't have to use it.
    I mean, it IS an International 8600 single axle daycab with a 370hp Maxxforce 13...hardly a stellar piece of equipment by any account, BUT everything works (odd as it sounds), it doesn't have the digital nannies the newer fancier trucks have, AND it goes 2mph faster than the others. Also, manual mode is not locked out of the Eaton Ultrashift, so I can pretend I'm a big truck driver again :)
