Looking for a safe place to park for a 10 hour break around Overland Park/Shawnee, Kansas

    Depends on which direction you’re heading next, but shouldn’t be an issue. If your hours are running that low, casually waste some time at shipper/consignee until you can use PC to leave. Cabelas and the casino in Edwardsville have parking, and there’s a 7-11 in Olathe out by the Great Mall(might be able to park there too?) as well. Good luck!

    They ended up changing the schedule, so I drove up last night and parked about 45 minutes south of there at the Frontier Military Scenic Byway Rest Area (whew!) on US 69 near Pleasanton, Kansas. Quite nice and plenty of parking.
