What is happening to Canadian freight brokers?

    So, I'm looking on Canadatransportation.com for freight brokers in Western Canada and more than half of the brokers that are listed are out of business.

    What's going on? I know it is real slow but half aren't around anymore?!

    I have a feeling that the freight out west is being brokered now in a specific group's own network. Most companies are saying there's nothing coming from China right now. No loads at all, no Christmas rush this year. They can't even keep their own trucks running. But funny how all the bottom feeders keep advertising on the government job boards. And I see plenty of their trucks on the road. They're keeping busy somehow.

    Because their new drivers pay them $10,000 for the job and drive for 9 cents a mile
