Sure anything is possible. Cant see why not.. the only thing on a ddec3 to ddec4 conversion is the wiring.

you can drop a dd4 in just plug and play same ecm as dd3

For some reason I thought the 3 ecm was different. Well that makes it easy for him then.

I have always been told they were different ecms too. It might be that you could use the ddec 4 engine in a truck that has a ddec 3 and with the 3 ecm, but I don't know how well it would run that way?
