I find myself starting my gas powered car like it's a diesel truck. Turning the key on then waiting a few seconds before starting it. Lol.
Anybody ever feel wobbly after getting home?

Any of you ever do that shake shake wriggle bounce and see about adjusting that airride seat which does not exist in your car?

My Kryptonite is heavy historical vehicles as in Tanks.
ATS scored a move one day involving two heavy haul trailers and sleeper trucks of a T34 Soviet Tank, around roughly 29 ton and another of a German Hertzler sort of assault turtle with gun stuck on front.
We were up in Elkton Md salivating all over that T34. ATS driver (I was with ATS as well with my van trailer in a uninteresting and BORING load way over there...) he was telling us that the thing runs and drives. Essentially two sticks up front for everything and a couple of clutches and brakes if you call them that.
Im not sure exactly what the destination was but Aberdeen sent those out to have work done on them. I have not been there in a while however and remember that some of the tanks received enough work to be running again more or less if they were not also cosmetically restored.
That is the one decision I muffed in the ATS orientation. Failure to choose oversized, specialized for moves just like that one. Had to open my big dumb mouth and commit to van trailers please.
Van trailers please ugh...D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -

I don't shake or feel wobbly, but at some point I usually 'decompress' when I get home.
It's like I deflate suddenly.
So far, on this home time, it has not happened yet.
I guess there is too much going on to let me really relax into nothingness.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -
I don’t feel strange walking, but I do feel “strung out.” When someone talks to me it feels awkward for a bit after being confined to a cell, err, cab for a week alone. Somewhat disconnected, or trapped inside myself.
My knees have started hurting terrible the last few weeks. Can only stretch so far in a W9. Get out of the truck to check the straps, and have to use my winch bar as a cane for a few steps. That’s worse than anything. If someone came up to me while I was strung out after 11 hours, and using my winch bar to walk they’d think I was crazy.

I also keep checking the hood mirrors on my pickup (that aren't there) every time I change lanes.
I don't feel wobbly, but I do have to change pace....on the road, every thing is done at a faster pace so I don't waste any of my precious 14 hr clock, but on a down side...I don't have a 14 hr clock at home (or a honey do log book), so I can't refuse a honey do job because I am out of hourshomeskillet, Phantom Trucker, x1Heavy and 3 others Thank this. -
Yes reaching for the engine break , the clutch. I even tried to reach for the air horn one time after getting cut off ... Unfortunatly my little chevy s10 doesnt have an air horn, although that would be freakin awesome if it did
