Re-test to get your cdl back. That's what you have to do in Tx anyway.
FlaSwampRat and x1Heavy Thank this. -
Retest. AFTER you get a valid DOT Medical.

This happened to me a couple years ago, had to get the medical card first then just go to the DMV and have my CDL reinstated – did not have to retest.
That is in Arizona.FoolsErrand, wore out, Bean Jr. and 3 others Thank this. -

Lot of states have no grace period anymore & downgrade immediately.
Jrwhite3230 and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
In North Carolina you just send in your new med cert. But here you are not just downgraded, they suspend your class C also. So if med card expires you can’t even drive a car.
Numb and Jrwhite3230 Thank this. -
We have to pay a reinstatement fee.
Don't know if there's a grace period and possible retest.
I had to submit fingerprints. And $40. It was day 30 on suspension.Jrwhite3230 Thanks this. -

When my fingerprints are due.
Immediate suspension.
When med is due. Immediate suspension.
No grace period in my state. -
In CO you just have to file an updated medical card within one year from it expiring and you do not have to retest.
Jrwhite3230 Thanks this.
